Born in Australia to a multi-cultural home, Fatih is an accomplished marketer, with over 15 years of global industry experience gained in a variety of marketing roles and settings.

He started his career as a program assistant to the Public Affairs Officer at the American Embassy in Cyprus, and worked as an academic teaching assistant at the University of Houston, Conrad Hilton Hotel School. This was followed by roles with Four Seasons Hotels & Resorts and Starwood Hotels & Resorts in the U.S.

After moving to the UK in 2001, he worked agency-side for five years on a broad portfolio of client accounts including; IBM, Cisco, Vodafone, Motorola, Lamborghini, and Unilever. This was followed by progressively senior marketing roles client-side, working for the likes of Oracle, Dell and Polycom. He’s led a global marketing team for German mobile tech start-up Netbiscuits, and most recently has been a freelance marketing consultant advising tech companies like Equinix and Cloud 66. Fatih is a business mentor at Startup Direct, a delivery partner of the UK government’s startup loans scheme for entrepreneurs, and currently runs Startup Marketing at Amazon Web Services for the Europe, Middle East and Africa region.

A Fulbright scholar and professional member of the Chartered Institute of Marketing, Fatih has experience of every facet of the marketing industry. As a marketing all-rounder, his primary expertise covers the technology and hospitality industries, with a strong focus on go-to-market planning, brand strategy development, digital transformation programs and integrated performance marketing practices.

In addition to running Spilling the Marketing Beans, Fatih is also the editor of Travel Highlife – an independent platform for luxury travel, accommodation and dining experiences.
