I was born in Australia to a multi-cultural home. I’ve had a long career as a marketeer, technologist and entrepreneur, with much varied experience gained in a variety of industries and settings.

I started my career as a program assistant to the Public Affairs Officer at the American Embassy in Cyprus, followed by an academic teaching assistant gig at the University of Houston, Conrad Hilton Hotel School. This was followed by roles with Four Seasons Hotels & Resorts and Starwood Hotels & Resorts in the U.S.

After moving to the UK in 2001, I worked agency-side for five years on a broad portfolio of client accounts including; IBM, Cisco, Vodafone, Motorola, Lamborghini, and Unilever. This was followed by progressively senior marketing roles client-side, working for the likes of Oracle, Dell and Polycom. I co-founded my own business –  The Art Addition, while leading a global marketing team for German mobile tech start-up Netbiscuits. More recently, I freelanced as a marketing consultant to startups like Cloud 66, and tech companies including Equinix and Informa. I’m a mentor at Startup Direct, a delivery partner of the UK government’s startup loans scheme for entrepreneurs, and lead the Startup Marketing team at Amazon Web Services for the Europe, Middle East and Africa region.

A Fulbright scholar and professional member of the Chartered Institute of Marketing, I have experience in every facet of the marketing industry. As a marketing all-rounder, my primary sector expertise covers the technology and hospitality industries, with a strong functional focus on go-to-market planning, brand strategy development, digital transformation programs and integrated performance marketing practices.

In addition to running Spilling the Marketing Beans, I also pretend to be a travel editor at Travel Highlife – an independent platform for luxury travel, accommodation and dining experiences.
